Nationals of Australia, Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Republic of South Africa, Sweden, United Kingdom, and United States of America will be issued with entry visa valid for a period up to 30 days and pay for a visa ($30) upon arrival without prior application.
When seeking a port of entry visa as described above, please bring the following:
Passport valid through 6 months after the date of entry.
A vaccination certificate may be required at the border post.
Application processing fee. If applications are refused, or withdrawn by the applicant, refunds of fees will not be made.
Proof of financial means sufficient to cover the costs of your stay in Rwanda may be requested at the Rwandan foreign mission or entry point.
Citizens of EAC Partner states can be issued with renewable 6 month visitors passes at entry points with no fee.
DRC citizens may receive visitor’s visas for a stay not exceeding 90 days.
Nationals of African countries not exempt from the visa fee may apply for an entry visa at Rwandan entry points (Kigali International Airport and all land boarders).
Nationals of Singapore, Hong Kong, Mauritius, and the Philippines are exempt from entry/tourism visa for a stay of up to 90 days.
Nationals of countries not mentioned above must apply for a visa before traveling and pay the prescribed fee. Please note that you will be asked to show the visa during your check-in at the airport and you will not be allowed to travel to Rwanda without a visa.
You may be asked for the following reference documents:
1. Passport or travel document with a validity not less than 6 months
2. Visa application form (filled out)
3. Two (2) recent 4x6cm. photographs of the applicant
4. Round-trip air ticket or e-ticket (paid in full)
5. Proof of financial sufficient to cover your stay
